These terms apply to the HandSift browser extension and the HandSift server it uses (together, "HandSift"). By clicking "I agree" in HandSift, or by using it, you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use HandSift.

What HandSift does

HandSift labels Etsy listings that appear to be AI-generated and explains why. "AI · disclosed" means the seller's own listing text says AI was used. "Likely AI" is HandSift's estimate from other clues, and it can be wrong. HandSift can also miss AI-generated listings. Its labels are information to help you decide, not statements of fact about any seller, and you should check a listing yourself before relying on a label.

Etsy

The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This Application uses Etsy's API, but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy. Your use of Etsy remains subject to Etsy's own terms.

Disclaimer: This application is solely provided by HandSift (the "application developer"). You acknowledge that Etsy, Inc. and its affiliates are not the application developer, do not provide the application service, and make no warranties of any kind with respect to the application or data accessed through it.

Acceptable use

• Use HandSift for personal shopping on Etsy.
• Don't use the HandSift server outside the extension, automate requests to it, or try to get around its limits. It shares one Etsy API allowance among everyone who uses HandSift.
• Don't use HandSift's labels to harass sellers.

No warranty

HandSift is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. HandSift may change, pause, or stop at any time, for example when Etsy's API is unavailable or its daily limit is reached.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandSift and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any purchase or other decision you make based on HandSift's labels.

Changes

These terms may change. The date above shows the latest version. If a change matters, HandSift will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before it continues.
